  This Ball Catch can be used on closet doors where a latch is not needed. The ball catch is mounted on the top of the door. It should be recessed in a hole drilled on the surface's top. The strike plate is mounted on the door hinge/jamb where the spring loaded ball will catch and hold the door closed.
